screaming kids

Found an amazing sight in the pool today.There was this kid must be less than two years old,fooling around in the baby's pool.Suddenly she took off and made a splash and landed in our pool.All the time laughing and splashing.The other kids who were terrified and screaming to be kept inside the pool by anxious mothers were spell bound.She continued to splash and play and enjoy herself.When she was taken away after a good deal of time,that is when she was screamig her head off.
The instructor had one poignant remark;first kid i have seen in a long time who reverses the order.Other kids scream while coming in and this one screams while being taken out.
They gave free advice to the father to have a pool at home,will work out cheaper.He said Nope ,no water for even for bathing!

cats and dogs

learnt a lot about cats and dogs today than i have for a long long time.
Not particularly fond of them.Have no clue about them is also true.
But the spent the day with a couple of friends who were dog/cat
lovers and have them all over their house.One of them is having a
entire house establishment to take care of two dogs!Because their flat in mumbai
has two cats and the place is not big enough to have cats and dogs.
These doggies dont like neighbours talking in loud tones(only they can
bark their heads off when they see folks like me!)After a while they recognise
usual loud mouths by the approachig sound of their feet and they dont have to
raise their voice,the dogs will do their chorus.
used to wonder why the dogs regularly dirty our frontyard when the neighbours
frontyards are neat.I was told today,because i dont feed the dog,the dog feels it is
not its house,so my frontyard is a random place to ease itself.

swimming

yeah i have done it.Mastered swimming.It appears very simple now.
Did not earlier though.I was struggling,struggling and struggling.
The instructor actually given me up for a lost case and moved on.
But then i kept at it.What i lack in instinct and technique,i made up
in just being there day in and day out.
Suddenly things fell in place and i have become a natural in the water.
The pool appeared very small today.I kept striding with leisurely
strokes all over the pool and i was itching to go on and on.

it is not about bike

read Lance Armstrong's book recently.As it happened i was just finishing the book when Armstrong was finishing his race.
It is a must read.
