Dating in Mumbai

Dont get me wrong. It is this thing about proclaiming how old and dated they are. It seems to be the big thing in mumbai. The other day, prashant went for a hair cut and that shop bang next to churchgate station, says they are serving the populace for the last 100 years! and there was this electronics repair shop and they proclaim to be there for over 50 years!
while i was still wondering about the credibility of this advertisement, I was in for a bit of amusement. Yes, Mumbaikars take things quite far. I saw a small 'potti kadai' where, when the owner sits, the shop is full, and he has to reach out quite comfortably while sitting in a stool, all the wares that are on display and for sale.Farzan pan shop, since 1945!Since this is bang opposite to the net centre we frequent, I see it everyday and it does not fail to bring a smile.
